Paraiba

Paraiba tourmaline is a type of tourmaline, a semi-precious gemstone, that was first discovered in Paraiba, Brazil. These stones were just recently found, in the 1980s, and frequently have a blue-green tint with vivid colour caused by their copper concentration.

Due of its extreme rarity, paraiba tourmaline has an extremely high valuation. The high worth, however, isn't only a result of exclusivity. The richer, deeper hues of paraiba tourmaline and its general abundance in this particular region of Brazil are also responsible for its substantial quality.
